Holiday Like You’re On Vacation
The best part of the holidays is getting together with friends, letting loose, and simply leaving the stress of the year behind. Embrace the messiness and laughter of the holidays, rather than the pressures of the season, by channeling your vacation self.
How Our Designers Celebrate
We asked our designers for their take on this vibrant holiday theme, and a bit about how they celebrate the season.
"I love adding white candles and string lights during the holiday season. I don't have a lot of space (nor a fireplace) for decor in my small condo, so I place these items in every nook and cranny (along the piano, on bookcases, houseplants) in order to add an elegant and festive glow, all season long."
"We have many holiday traditions! My family and I enjoy a special Mexican food dinner. We make a dish called Posadas, break piñatas, and more!"
"My family and I usually take a tropical vacation to get away from the Chicago winters we hate so much, so those tend to be memorable vacations."
"We have a very large family with many holiday get-togethers, so my favorite tradition is just to cozy up in a room lit only by the tree to soak up the silence and reflect on the past year."
(even if you’re at your desk)
Invite your friends over, break out the bar cart, and embrace the good vibes with our eclectic holiday playlist.
"Over the years, we've celebrated the holidays in so many different places. For me, the space is made special by the people who fill it. I'm always sure to bring a couple of things that remind me of home to turn any unfamiliar space into a festive atmosphere."
"My most memorable Christmas is the year my dad built me a dollhouse! It launched my interior design career, and I still have it to this day."
