We asked our designers for their take on this luxe holiday theme and a bit about how they celebrate the season.
"When I was a kid and my dad was deployed over the holidays, I would always make my mom leave the tree up until he returned home, even if it was mid-February."
"To refresh my home for the winter season, I incorporate simple and subtle neutral decor. Sprigs of greenery or flocked foliage are great ways to bring the outdoors in. I live in the woods, so we are always gathering natural material to add to our tablescapes and mantle decor."
"During the winter, I like to bring in real evergreen garland from a local nursery to hang around the doorway and mantle. I also like to add fresh flowers that coordinate with my ornament colors."
"In Venezuela, we prepare a special dish reserved for the holidays. We cook it with family and extended family. We put up our Christmas decor the week of November 18th. We love this season. Drinking, dancing, and eating about sums it up!"

"I celebrate the holidays at my parents' home, the same one I grew up in. I have tons of childhood holiday memories there, including opening gifts in the family room by the fireplace and gathering for holiday dinners around my grandparents’ antique dining table."
"Each weekend before Christmas–usually the day school releases for holiday break–the children in my family all gather at my house for "pajamas and pizza." We play Christmas games, eat cookies, make reindeer food, and create a holiday craft for the residents of our local nursing home. The next day, we take the kids to deliver them.
